The AERO All-in-One VSD20: rotary screw compressor, refrigerated dryer and 145 gallon receiver in one unit
  1. 01The system

The whole air system, in one unit

    The All-in-One VSD20 puts a variable-speed screw compressor, a refrigerated dryer and a 145 gal ASME-certified receiver on one factory-integrated frame.

    • 145galASME-certified receiver

  2. 02Service access

    The front lifts off

Every panel lifts off on quarter-turn latches. Turn the front two and the panel comes away, with the motor, airend and filters right behind it. Service points are reachable without major disassembly.

    • Lift-off panels

    • Lead/follower for multi-compressor rooms
    • Local or remote start and stop
  4. 04Direct drive

    One shaft. Nothing in between.

The oil-cooled permanent-magnet motor and the V-profile airend share one direct-drive shaft: no belts, no couplings, no gears. The airend was developed with City St George's, University of London.

    • about10%more efficient than an asynchronous motor
    • 0.005mmairend machined on MAZAK CNC
  5. 05Variable speed

    Speed follows demand

An INOVANCE inverter runs the motor at the speed your air use calls for, standard on every unit. The refrigerated dryer has anti-freeze protection; electric automatic drains clear the condensate.

    • up to35%lower energy use than fixed speed*

How it works

How the VSD20 makes air

A pencil cutaway of the complete package: compressor, coolers, the 145-gallon tank, the refrigerated dryer and the filters. Watch it draw itself, then follow the air from the room to your tools.

Pencil cutaway of the AERO All-in-One VSD20 Room air enters through side louvres and the intake filter, is compressed by an oil-injected rotary screw airend driven by a permanent-magnet motor, separated from its oil, cooled, stored in a 145-gallon receiver, dried in a refrigerated dryer, filtered, and sent out to the shop.

Follow the air

Room air in, clean dry air out

Seven steps happen inside one footprint: air is drawn in, squeezed, stripped of oil, cooled, stored, dried and filtered. Pick a step to light it up in the drawing, or drag the demand slider to watch the variable-speed drive react.

Illustrative cutaway: part positions are simplified and not to scale, and the speed, flow and pressure readouts are a demonstration, not live data. Your compressor room,
running itself.

One small box wires into your compressor and dryer. It starts and stops them on your schedule, watches every reading around the clock, and puts the whole room on your phone — from anywhere.

Automatic start & stop

Air is ready when the shop opens and off at close. No more paying for a machine idling through the afternoon.

Instant alerts

Automatic notifications for troubleshooting and machine status — on your phone the moment something needs attention, not Monday morning.

Energy, proven monthly

A monthly report prices your air — and shows what a fixed-speed compressor would have cost, measured from your own machine.

Service, on schedule

Run hours counted down to the next visit, history kept. The machine tells you when it’s due — before it matters.

Fitted in minutes. Two plugs — either cable, either port, the gateway works out which machine is which. Setup is a phone app, and the same account works in any browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about sizing, capabilities, and system configuration.

How do I size a compressor for my automotive shop?
A general automotive technician averages ~5-10 CFM equivalent continuous use. A standard 1/2" impact wrench requires ~5 CFM. For a 5-bay shop with 5 technicians, look at a system producing roughly 40-50 CFM.
What are the CFM requirements for CNC machines?
A typical CNC machine requires a continuous, clean, and dry air supply, averaging ~15 CFM per machine. Consistent pressure is critical for tool changes and pneumatic clamping.
How much air does a spray booth or paint gun use?
A professional HVLP paint gun requires between 12-15 CFM continuous while spraying. An entire spray booth setup may require ~20-25 CFM. Consistent, dry air is critical to prevent paint defects.
Should I get an All-in-One or Standalone Base Mount system?
The ADV-A1 All-In-One series comes pre-packaged with an integrated refrigerated dryer and receiver tank — perfect plug-and-play for shops wanting to save floor space. Standalone systems are ideal if you already have existing tanks or need larger airflow exceeding 30-40 HP.
What does VSD mean and why is it important?
VSD stands for Variable Speed Drive. Instead of running at 100% capacity and shutting off, our Permanent Magnet VSD motors adjust their speed to match your exact air demand in real-time, saving up to 35% on energy costs.
