We engineered the AERO VSD20 around the same proven principles that drive Atlas Copco's premium GA VSD+ line: direct-drive Permanent Magnet motor, Variable Speed Drive, oil-cooled IP65 motor design, and a high-efficiency V-profile rotor co-developed with the rotary compressor research program at City University of London. Direct-Drive Permanent Magnet Motor
A UH-grade Neodymium-Iron-Boron permanent magnet motor coupled directly to the airend on a shared shaft. No couplings, belts, or gears. Belt-drive compressors lose 3–5% of input power to friction and slip and need periodic re-tensioning. Our direct-drive design eliminates that loss permanently. The motor is IP65-rated and oil-cooled, removing the fan and bearing losses found in air-cooled asynchronous designs.
Variable Speed Drive
