What an air compressor maintenance kit is

An air compressor maintenance kit is the set of wear parts a rotary screw compressor uses at each scheduled service: air intake filter, oil filter, oil separator element and compressor oil. AERO kits are matched to the compressor's horsepower and cover the 500-hour initial service and the 4,000-hour routine services after it. This page also lists CTA filter elements for 10 to 75 HP systems.

Shops and maintenance departments running an AERO rotary screw compressor: auto body, repair, woodworking, fabrication and small manufacturing. Order when a new machine nears 500 hours, or 4,000 hours after the last service. Overdue service raises operating temperature and wears major components, so keep the next kit on hand.

How to choose the right kit

Match the kit to rated horsepower. On AERO machines the model number is the horsepower: a VSD10 is 10 HP, a VSD20 is 20 HP, a VSD30 is 30 HP.

What is included

Each kit has an air intake filter to keep dust out of the compressor, an oil filter for clean oil circulation, an oil separator element, and compressor oil for the oil change. CTA elements are sold on their own and replace the internal element of a compatible CTA line filter housing. The service procedure is in your model's manual at documentation.
